New Green Technology
io-energy - Biomass is derived from plant material and animal residues/wastes. It can be used to generate electricity and/or heat, and to produce transport fuel. This energy is called bio-energy. There's a load of biomass that can be used for energy purposes eg straw and crop residues, crops specially grown for energy production willow, oil seed rape and wastes from a range of sources including food production. The nature of the fuel will determine the way that energy can best be recovered from it.
Carbon Dioxide (CO2) - Carbon dioxide contributes around 60% of the potential global warming effect of human-made emissions of greenhouse gases worldwide. Not surprising then, that it's global enemy no.1. The burning of so called fossil fuels-oil, gas, coal - releases CO2 and increases its concentration in the atmosphere. Carbon Trust - This is an independent, not-for-profit company set up by Government with support from businesses to encourage and promote the development of low carbon technologies. Its key role is to support British Business in reducing carbon emissions through funding, support of technological innovation and by encouraging more efficient working practices. Combined cycle gas turbines - These use both gas and steam turbine cycles in a single plant to produce electricity with high conversion efficiencies and relatively low emissions. |

Re: New Green Technology
I found your article on google. It didn't really answer my questions but it pointed me in the right direction on io-energy and biomass. Thanks!

New Green Technology
The Rockefeller Foundation and the Gates Foundation are devoting 150 million over five years to encouraging the green revolution to take hold in the one continent it never concquered - Africa.
Half of that money will go on developing the seed technology to flourish in the unique African environments, whilst the remainder will help encourage the distribution of these seeds. The green revolution has been a huge success throughout the world. Can it flourish in Africa as well? runtime error 5 |

Re: New Green Technology
Is this the same with biofuels? because I was able to watch throgh discovery channels that scientist were able to alter the basic structure of sugar molasses in South America in order to provide a much more efficient source of fuel for vehicles.

Re: New Green Technology
Green Technology is that to make a innovative energy powers in the future by means of satellite solar power or any of the molecular energies for vehicles like fuels etc

Re: New Green Technology
Many energy experts contend natural gas is the ideal fuel as the world makes the transition to renewable energy. “solar and wind are the only practical alternatives that would provide world with abundant, independent energy with few undesirable environmental and human-health effects.”

Re: New Green Technology
The issue on global warming was very disturbing and people should be really serious about it. Good thing, even a bit late, leaders of different countries has unite to fight global warming. The conference that was held recently, that aims to lessen the carbon dioxide usage of each country was a great move to make it work. (eventually they did a worthy job)
