did Dinosaurs eat stones?
ok it is known many birds Swallow things to help digest. and if Dinosaurs And Birds are related(which most Believe now birds are a type of Dinosaur) wouldn't they have done the same? I mean its hard to Imagne a Tyrannosaurus or a Giganotosaurus eating rocks before a meal. but if they had a simular system to birds they would have had to... wouldn't they have?

Some dinosaurs swallowed stones, which remained in their stomach, helping to grind up tough plant material. These stones are called gizzard stones (they are also called gastrliths). Many modern-day birds also swallow gizzard stones.

Re: did Dinosaurs eat stones?
First of all, the Ica Stones are fake. Not only do they have testimony of this, but basic knowledge of art in the early Americas show they're false as well. Not to mention the lack of fossils that some of the drawings show.
Guess what? We have thousands and millions of pictures of dinosaurs, all drawn in the 20th and 21st century, but not a single one of those dinosaurs walks among us. How can that be? How can any human being POSSIBLY draw what they thought the bones belonged to?

Re: did Dinosaurs eat stones?
Not all dinosaur pictures were drawn in 20th and 21st centuries. Some were drawn in the 19th century. Take a look here to see earlier work transforming drawings into life size models:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjami...rhouse_Hawkins This is science in action. The models have a number of mistakes. That's right. First effort is not right and refinements have been made. The horn on the iguanadon turns out to be a part of the front foot. More discoveries. More thinking about the fossils. Fossil remains tend to be the hard parts of the organism. Often that is teeth, sometimes other bones. Could you identify a bone as a rib? Could you identify a bone as a vertebrae? Could you identify a bone as a skull or jaw? Well other people can quickly lay out the bones of a human skeleton or a horse, lizard, mouse, fish, ... So why can't the bones of an extinct animal be arranged? What about a moa, mammoth, or saber tooth cat? Why not a dinosaur or even an earlier animal? |

did Dinosaurs eat stones
Arent dinosaurs just another name from dragons. Yeah, and dragon is written in the bible somewhere. So yes, they did it sas in the bible.
Anyway, think about it, if a lizard could live a thousand years, wouldnt it grow big, then wouldnt in a thousand years it would be as big as a bus or something. |

Re: did Dinosaurs eat stones?
I've not seen any articles regarding this but it could be. Because like you have said dinosaurs are the origins of birds. I wonder if they could digest it or what? definitely it would satisfy them because its a meal that is heavy on the stomach... right? hehehehe

Re: did Dinosaurs eat stones?
i think it's quite possible that some dinosaurs might have eaten stones, i guess since stones are very small while many of the dinosaurs were quite big. i don't think eating a few stones would not hurt them much.
