Re: psychology major

Hey there! I'm not majoring in Psychology, but I've taken a few classes here and there. I find that learning about people and the way they think is really interesting, and especially love learning about the various levels in which a child develops.

Re: psychology major

That has to be one of the most interesting fields of study. It's amazing how different each of us are from one another in the way we analyze our personal environment and react. I've downloaded a couple of free courses in Psychology onto my ipod that I've found online so I could maybe figure out some of these people I work with.... j/k

Yes it is so interesting to see how we all react and interct with the people and environments around us in such different ways. Perception varies from person to person.

Re: psychology major

Psychology is a challenging major and subject. It's so hard what's on a persons mind. I found their job very hard because talking to a person and distinguishing their strengths and weaknesses is not an easy task.

Re: psychology major

Even people with very similar personalities can be worlds apart in their thoughts and beliefs. To what degree can you measure the effect of a child's environment, ie parents, t.v., peers, etc. on their psychological development as they grow into adults? As adults how much does it take to really change our way of seeing things?

Re: psychology major

I finished psychology and I'm happy I made that decision to take it in college. It's probably one of the most flexible courses.

Post Re: psychology major

I am only 17 yet .....i do not know what psychology is ..but still i think ,study how our brain works in reality .....i have thought much and i am still continuing about it ,,,,,,so far i have got with my own theory of brain , phase , dimension , working of brain ,probability network etc...... i still can not say that it is fully true........as probability can never be one nither 0 ......so we will never be able to find truth (being in this phase) .......

as it is that pobability(p) of one event is p of p1 of p2 of p3 of p4............infinity .......so will can never find out the real probability.............

Re: psychology major

HI! I took up Psychology as a major in college and I have been working as a Human Resources Generalist. You can't really read a person's mind, nor can you decide his or her personality or character with just one look or one meeting. It takes several meetings to determine that and there are also tools that are used to determine personality or aberrations.

obvious that study social phenomenon doesnt mean only study their psychology aspect or only from psychology pespective. And I think, sometimes social psychology means only group psychology, which study, for example how a group people interact with each other.
